OVERVIEW

JKRattan is a business that specializes in hand-picked, authentic rattan products from Hanoi, Vietnam’s Northern region. They offer a unique selection that showcases the skilled craftsmanship of the area. I designed and built a visually appealing online store that effectively showcases their exquisite products to a global audience, bringing their unique vision to reality. Before this, they did not have a website to promote and sell their products.

Project Goal

Client Interview (Note: Freelancing Project)

As a freelancer, I created an e-commerce WordPress website for a client in the rattan products industry. Although a formal user interview process was not conducted due to project constraints, I worked closely with the client to understand their requirements and target audience.

Through continuous communication and collaboration, I ensured the website aligned with the client’s vision and met the needs of their customers. While a traditional user interview was not conducted, I utilized my expertise in UX/UI design principles to create an intuitive and user-friendly interface.

The customer wants to create the website to expand their reach, compete effectively, showcase their products, increase sales channels, provide convenient online shopping, establish a strong brand identity, and gain insights through tracking and analytics.

Will create a visually appealing and mobile-friendly e-commerce website for the customer’s rattan products, showcasing the variety with detailed descriptions and high-quality images. Secure payment gateways and responsive design will enhance convenience on any device. Our goal is to establish a strong online presence, attract a wider audience, and optimize performance.

Selecting the Right E-commerce Website Template

During the stage of choosing an e-commerce WordPress template for my client, I carefully considered their specific requirements, target audience, and desired design aesthetic. My client expressed the need for a simple and straightforward template that would allow their products to shine. Therefore, I focused on finding a clean and minimalistic design that seamlessly integrated with WooCommerce, the leading e-commerce plugin for WordPress. By selecting a WooCommerce-compatible template, I ensured that my client’s online store could leverage the robust features and functionalities of WooCommerce, such as inventory management, secure payment processing, and a smooth purchasing experience for their customers. The chosen template not only met my client’s needs but also helped create a visually appealing and user-friendly e-commerce site.

Customizable E-commerce Shopping Site

I use the Elementor site builder, an exceptional tool for WordPress users due to its intuitive drag-and-drop interface and extensive customization options. It enables users to easily design and customize their websites to suit their unique needs.

Product Catalog

A well-organized and visually appealing product catalog is crucial for showcasing the products effectively. It should include clear product images, detailed descriptions, pricing information, and any variations or options available.

Payment Gateway Integration

Integrating a reliable payment gateway allows customers to make secure online payments. I choose WooCommece payment gateways among other popular payment gateways include PayPal, Stripe, and Authorize.net. WooCommerce was the ideal choice for my e-commerce site because of its feature-rich platform and seamless integration with WordPress. It offers a wide range of plugins, secure payment options, and an intuitive interface. It allows easy setup of payment methods as well as shipping methods (Flat rate, Free Shipping and Local Pickup) too.

Responsive Design

By prioritizing responsive design, users can seamlessly interact with the website, regardless of whether they are using desktop computers, tablets, or mobile devices.
